Does it support Android phones?
This mount is specifically for Apple iPhones 12 and up. It uses MagSafe behind your phone to secure the phone and the hook to lock it into place. If you wish to use your android phone with this product, there are a few compatible cases for android phones on the market. Apple has made MagSafe available to all, so we can expect new Android devices to be compatible. Currently, it is limited to iPhone users with Mac desktops and laptops.
Is it removable?
The camera mount is mounted with magnets and is removable with gentle force without causing any wear to the back of your phone. However, unlike the Belkin mount or the Capstone continuity camera mount, our mount can be used as a ring grip. It helps you get a better hold of your device outdoors and acts as a failsafe preventing you from dropping it.
How to install this?
Simply remove the mount from the box and line it up with the back of your phone. It should be placed in the middle of your phone. You will feel the mount snap into place. From there, pull the rubber foot at the back of the mount and lock your phone on top of your laptop. You are all set! Remember, you must have the latest version of iOS 16 on your phone and Mac OS Ventura on your computer to use all the continuity camera features.
Will the mount damage my laptop screen?
The mount itself is lightweight, and even with your phone; it is light enough for the hinges in a Macbook Air and Macbook Pro. Both your laptop and phone are safe as long as the laptop is on a flat surface. Even though the mount will stay in place, we don't recommend using it as a webcam while you're on the move.
