Are leather desk mats worth it?

Yes! Your genuine leather desk pad, also known as a leather mat, is an excellent desk top addition that provides both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits, such as preventing slipping on the surface. With its large design, there is no longer the worry of your mouse sliding off the edge of the mouse pad when you’re working on the finishing touches of your design.

Is the desk pad waterproof?

Yes...mostly! Your desk pad is water-resistant, and when you spill your coffee, soda, or water on it and wipe it up, your desk pad will look like new. The underside is more absorbent to ensure a firm grip on your desk, so it doesn't shift when you move. When you get your desk pad wet, wipe the surface with a dry towel, and absorb any moisture on the back side. I've spilled numerous beverages on my desk pad over the years, and it still looks great!

What is the perfect size leather desk pad for me?

The bigger, the better! I have hand selected the best leather desk pad sizes to ensure you are never left guessing. I use the Large size for my home office because I have a large desk and a full-sized keyboard, I use the Small size when I travel because I am unsure of the desk size and texture I will encounter on my travels as a digital nomad. What is the best genuine leather desk pad for my office?

I recommend the Medium and Large sizes for your home office desk mat. The Small makes an excellent travel companion when you don't know whether you will work at a small hotel desk or a café.

Does the leather desk pad stain?

Nope! When you clean up your spill within a reasonable amount of time, your desk pad will stay looking new for years! When you spill a drink, wipe it up within a few minutes, and don't allow the spilled liquid to dry on your desk pad.

Does the leather desk pad melt?

Nope! Under normal usage, your laptop or a hot coffee won't melt your desk pad. If your laptop battery explodes or your coffee is hot enough to weld metal, you may experience some melting, but in that case, your desk pad is probably going to be the least of your worries. Same thing if your house burns down. Your desk pad WILL melt, but if you get your spouse, kids, cat/dog, and laptop out of your house before then, you'll be ok!

Can I use my keyboard and mouse on my leather desk pad?

Yes! That’s exactly why I use it. I like a big area to work on to lay down my iPad and take notes while I have plenty of room for my full-sized keyboard and mouse.
